Strength-based services

Too often, psychological evaluations and treatment focus exclusively on problems. We use strength-based approaches in all of the services that we provide. Our goal is to empower each client to use their unique skill set.

Psychological Evaluations

We evaluate children, adolescents, and adults for many types of neurodiverse conditions, including giftedness, learning disabilities (including Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, and Dyscalculia), ADHD, intellectual disabilities, Autism, anxiety, and depression. Some of our specialties include evaluating possible twice exceptionality (both gifted and having a disability) and mild or atypical presentations of Autism, including Autism in girls. Using a strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming approach to our evaluations means that we provide recommendations to support our clients’ needs and strengths.

Individual & group Counseling

We support, adults, and families with a variety of areas, including emotion regulation, executive functioning, anxiety management, social skills, friendship issues/bullying, self-confidence, behavior management, and parenting. We use eclectic therapeutic approaches that are customized to meet each client’s needs and include mindfulness, yoga, arts and crafts, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Problem Solving, and behavioral strategies. Our job is to empower our clients to use their strengths to reach their full potential.

Independent Educational Evaluations

If your child has recently received a school-based evaluation with which you disagree, we will work with your family and your child’s school team to conduct an Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE). This includes a comprehensive psychoeducational evaluation and consultation with the school team to help them understand how to best support your child. We strongly believe in collaboration and equipping educators to support your child. We will work together to navigate this process and to advocate for the best interests of your child.

gifted testing

We love working with families to determine if their child may be gifted. We have extensive knowledge of how giftedness can be masked in twice exceptional students. Based on your child’s unique neurodiversity, we will choose the best test to capture your child’s intelligence.

Dyslexia screenings

If you are concerned about your child’s reading progress, we can conduct a short screener to determine whether further assessments are warranted. We will also provide recommendations for supporting your child’s literacy development based on the results of the screener.

Speech & language Therapy

We provide speech therapy services to support a variety of speech and language needs. Some of the conditions treated include speech/language delays, speech sound disorders (speech articulation), dysfluency (stuttering), and social pragmatic language (social language) skills. If needed, we conduct initial assessments of your child’s speech and language skills. We regularly monitor your child’s progress and provide strategies for you to implement at home.

orton-gillingham tutoring & Academic coaching

Our certified Orton-Gillingham specialists and intervention specialists are exceptional at providing targeted academic support based on your child’s unique needs. If you are interested in pursuing OG or academic tutoring, we will complete a brief assessment to determine which skills your child needs to develop. We will regularly monitor your child’s progress to ensure that they are making continuous growth.

Professional development

We provide professional development and training for mental health professionals, educators, students, and parents to equip them to better support neurodiverse children, adolescents, and young adults. Examples of our previous trainings include: mental health gatekeeping, suicide prevention/postvention, crisis response, executive functioning, learning disabilities (including the assessment and identification of Dyslexia), evaluation for Autism, and youth social media use.

educational services for schools

We contract with school districts to provide a variety of psychoeducational services. This includes Special Education evaluations, counseling services, and professional development. We are experts at identifying Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, and Dyscalculia. We are skilled at administering the ADOS-2 as part of Autism assessments. We also have extensive knowledge in assessing English Learners (EL students). We love working with schools and are passionate about bringing high-quality psychoeducational services to all children. We also believe strongly in equipping educators with the knowledge they need to help their students succeed.
